Our Therapeutic Treatments

Therapeutic Treatments for Opioid Abuse

At North Florida Comprehensive Treatment Center, we provide specific therapeutic treatments to complement the effective and safe medications that we supply our patients as they begin their recovery processes. To offer our patients the most comprehensive approach to help them overcome their opioid addictions, we feel it is necessary to guide them towards understanding the emotional and psychological aspects that have added to their opioid addictions. When patients only obtain the type of care that addresses the physical components of addiction, it becomes more likely that he or she will suffer a relapse and continue to partake in the dangerous cycle of substance abuse. At North Florida Comprehensive Treatment Center, we work endlessly to arm our patients with the appropriate medication and skills necessary to put their opioid addictions in their past once and for all.

Our Therapeutic Interventions

Therapeutic Interventions for Opioid Abuse

When an individual abuses opioids such as heroin or prescription painkillers, he or she tends to do so in response to psychological upset. Should this upset continue to filter into his or her life, he or she is much more likely to continue his or her opioid addiction, which can dramatically hinder any chance of stopping use. North Florida Comprehensive Treatment Center recognizes that most of our patients have battled with emotional trauma that has added to their opioid abuse. The following therapeutic interventions are those that we offer at our center:

  • Group therapy
  • Individual therapy

Our counselors are highly trained in aiding individuals who are struggling with opioid addictions and can help them find success within the treatments listed above. Our counselors are compassionate and have a high regard for each patient’s individual path to recovery. The number of sessions that a patient will attend will be determined based on the needs of the patient, as every part of the care we provide is customized. We fully believe that including individual and group therapy can help move a patient’s process of recovery along and provide them with the skills needed to continue on in life without dangerous opioids such as prescription painkillers or heroin.
